Our Client was a politician who was a mayor for 4 consecutive mandates.

We were also part of his 4th campaign, which finished successfully, so we knew and understood the local topics of wide interests. Every new mandate brings more disadvantages in a political run. We analyzed the risks and political situation, developed a strategy and several different scenarios based on the flow of the campaign and polls results we would get.

Additional disadvantage to the campaign was a fact that the Client had an ongoing court proceedings on the bribery charges, and the court dates were set within the last month of the campaign.

Communication was simple. While all other candidates spent most of the time talking about us, we went “door to door” reminding voters what we did for their street, their neighborhood, children, quality of life… the same approach was was implemented for advertising. 

Political ads were mostly based on the OOH segment, where we micro-targeted the voters and placed the exact messages for each group, e.g. near schools we reminded voters about the school upgrades, around the new sport center we reminded voters on that investment, in a neighborhood we would distribute flyers about the streets reconstructions, new parks for children, new amenities…

In the end, Client won the elections 52 % – 47%.
